About Us

Glenna Mathews

Our fabulous foundress, Glenna Mathews, grew up in sunny southern California and eventually made her way to the PNW, where she has resided for the last 50 years. Ever the stylish bon vivant, she traveled the globe collecting items that she found exciting or interesting. After raising four boys and retiring from her career as a school teacher, some volunteer work at a thrift shop, she fell in love with the satisfaction of finding second homes for well loved clothing. Glenna's sartorial eye and expansive knowledge of fashion history have curated a large collection, located in Tacoma, WA, hidden behind an unassuming warehouse door in Opera Alley.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, growing orchids, and is often out and involved in the local happenings of Tacoma.

Charlotte & Charli (Chuck & Charles)

Charlotte and Charli, the two resident shop girlies, help Glenna carry out her mission of finding new life for all the treasures hidden in warehouse. They met 15 years ago, when Glenna suggested Charlotte go check out the new shop that opened across the street from Glenna's original shop space on Broadway. Bonding over their shared love of vintage fashion and rescue dogs, they've been besties ever since and have worked together to help build an online presence for Glenna's clothing to reach vintage lovers across the globe. 

Loaf (Sophie) the shop dog

A staple in the shop, Sophie, has been in charge of good vibes for 13 years. She's often responsible for soundtracks (snoretracks) during product photoshoots and makes sure we eat all our snacks and take lots of breaks to sniff the fresh air outside. She's also available for styling consultations, never shy about her opinons. She loves a statement necklace and believes accessories are key to completing any look.
